Beautifully Failed Polaroids

Project Statement

This the start of an on-going series, where I collect beautifully failed Polaroids. Occasionally a Polaroid image will fail — maybe the camera is vintage, or the film expired — and fascinating images are created. Some are partially obscured, and others are complete abstracts, unrelated to anything you were trying to photograph. I find these accidents really beautiful.

Project Details

Two frames were ejected at the same time.... lovely accidents that appear like abstract paintings. I love how the two frames echo each other, yet are so unique. And the pack was Black & White, so it’s interesting to see the colours from the chemistry.
